other projects

Each project must provide a specific and original response to the various needs and challenges of the client. Similarly, we consider the cultural and social context in which we carry out our work. Therefore, in our projects, you can observe a variety and richness of solutions, reflecting the diversity of challenges we have faced. Over several decades, we have completed more than 220 projects, of which here we have only presented a small sample. However, we are proud that all are different; these projects have a common reference point: our idea of art in general and religious art shines in serving the faithful in their devotion. Moreover, our great attention to detail ensures that the sacred space always possesses the beauty, dignity, and quality that befits something created for God.

Architectural language alone cannot express the richness of content that sacred art must convey. We must integrate all the plastic arts into the architectural project to properly outline a sacred space. Thus, painters, sculptors, goldsmiths, etc., collaborate on the project under the direction of an architect, who plays a role similar to that of an orchestra conductor. These elements ensure that the architectural project offers a unified response, with contributions from other plastic arts that are not mere additions but part of the project. This approach has been successful and is what we aim to achieve in each project. This approach has led us to work with many artists and to integrate a workshop into our studio to create new works and perform restorations and conservation of artworks.

Over the years, we have collaborated with many individuals: architects Joaquín Lorda and Fernando Saiz; technical architect Carlos Elizalde; restorers Carmen Usúa and Mariano Nieto; painters Marieta Quesada, Fernando Pagola, Álvaro Toledo, Ataulfo Casado, Juan Antonio Rodríguez, Víctor Mambert, Andrés García Ibañez, Chordi Cortés, Armando Pareja, Victor López Jurado, Tadeusz Molga, César Barrio, Aleksander Sokolov, José Antonio Ochoa; sculptors Elena Pilar Palomino and Martínez del Cerro, José Antonio Navarro Arteaga, Mariano Nieto, Rafael Huerta, Hortensia Núñez Ladevéze, Consuelo de la Cuadra, Emma Peró, José Rodríguez Vázquez, Enrique Orejudo, José García Blanco, Alfredo Montero, José Luis Roig; wood carvers José Javier Ridruejo, Salvador Villafañe, and Manuel Guzmán Bejarano; goldsmiths Talleres de Arte Granda, Rafael Moreno, Juan Borrero, Francisco Díaz Roncero; ceramists Fernando Llort, José Alzuet, Ramón Castelló, and Palmira Lagüens; glass artists Javier del Río and WITRAŻE s.c. Architectural & Stained Glass; foundry workers, blacksmiths, cabinetmakers, jewelers, and stone specialists such as Raimundo Zubillaga, marble workers, carpenters, etc. We want to highlight and thank them for the enthusiasm and effort they put into the commissions we gave them. Without their collaboration, we would not have been able to carry out these projects. The photographs of details reflect the quality of the finishes in our projects.
